Fruit Scones Recipe

This dish contain 327 kcal, 11g fat, 6g saturates, 50g carbs, 17g sugars, 2g fibre, 6g protein, 0,92g salt.Caution for diet or vegetarian.But delicious taste :)

Ingredients :

  • 350g self raising flour plus more for dusting
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 85g butter, cut into cubes
  • 3 tbsp casted sugar
  • 175ml milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • squeeze of lemon juice
  • 100g sultanas
  • beaten egg to glaze
  • jam and clotted cream, to serve

Steps :

  1. Prepare a large bowl,add the flour,baking powder and salt then mix it.Add the butter then mix with your hands,because it will smooth when you mix with hands.After then stir with the sugar and put to oven heat on 220°C
  2. Prepare a jug then add the milk,put on microwave for 30 seconds until warm but dont too hot because will broke the calories.Add the lemon and vanilla juice,mix and let it for a moment.Transfer it to baking sheet and put on the oven.
  3. After the batter is dry add the sultanas and the liquid then mix it quickly with cutlery knife,dont worry if it seem pretty wet at first time.Sprinkle little flour to cutting board and your hands,mix the batter with your hands 2-3 times until it smooth.Flatter to thickness 4cm.
  4. Cut to 5cm per pieces,bring some flour.Repeat it until get four scones.Brush the top batter with beaten egg,then put on the oven carefully.
  5. Cook until golden colour on the top and risen then bring to serving platter.You can give clotter cream or jam on the top of dish or something as you like.Eat when it hot,or you can eat frozen with put on refrigerator before.
